Men’s Comp.

Last Saturday was the first round of the Chris Rigoni 4BBB, 30 players played which was a great field.

Peter Stewart and myself had a brilliant first 9, 24 points, and held on to win on a countback from Brad Carroll and David Clark on 44 points.

The Rigoni 4BBB will run over the two Saturdays, if you missed last Saturday, you can play tomorrow as it is the best two rounds out of three.

16 players played in the Wednesday comp and Tony Chapman played extremely well with 40 points, runner up Evan Jones on a countback from Peter Ternes on 38 points.

Next Wednesday, a trial of a 9 hole comp., we need 4 for a competition, all members welcome, 8.30am.

Course

A big working bee next Monday at 8.00am, Gerard and Tristan are going to scarify the greens and members are required to spread sand. We need a minimum of 10 members for three to four hours.

I thank Fox for helping me to repair the fences on the 15th tee.

I give a special shout out to Robert Wheeler who has carried out repairs to our green electric golf cart. We cannot purchase a new axle in Australia. So Robert has removed the axle and repaired it himself, thanks Wheels.

We are having a terrible time with our new Toro rough mower. Some might call it a lemon. It arrived, new, with no oil in the gearbox and since then it has travelled up and down the highway to be repaired. It is in Melbourne now. We are putting up a strong case for a new mower.
